Willow weaving is a great way to experience traditional techniques and materials. Share the company of family or make new friends on the day.

Learn how to make a frame basket, perfect for harvesting on the allotment or foraging in the hedgerows. You’ll use different coloured willow and a variety of techniques to create this beautiful and really useful basket. 

£65 per person. Bookings for this workshop are with The Studio, East Harling 

In the lovely setting of The Dower House in Thetford Forest, Jane will take you through the techniques necessary to make your piece and everyone will go home with a finished basket.

Willow needs to be prepared at least a week in advance for each workshop. Therefore if workshops are cancelled or postponed due to unforeseen circumstances, bookings will be transferred to alternative dates. No refunds will be given.

This willow weaving course is suitable for complete beginners and those who have done some willow weaving before. Additional things you might like to bring; Notebook, pens or pencil, Garden Wire, Scissors and String, Sharp Knife – Stanley or Craft, Gardening gloves. Remember to wear suitable clothing and comfortable clothes, sandals are not advisable.

Workshops run 10am til 4pm with a break for lunch. Bring a packed lunch or make your own provision arrangements.
