Willow weaving is a great way to experience traditional techniques and materials. Share the company of family or make new friends on the day.

In the lovely setting of WWT Welney, in the Cambridgeshire fens. Jane will take you through the techniques necessary and everyone will go home with at least one finished piece.

Willow needs to be prepared at least a week in advance for each workshop. Therefore if workshops are cancelled or postponed due to unforeseen circumstances, bookings will be transferred to alternative dates. No refunds will be given.

This willow weaving course is suitable for complete beginners and those who have done some willow weaving before. Additional things you might like to bring; Notebook, pens or pencil, Garden Wire, Scissors and String, Sharp Knife – Stanley or Craft, Gardening gloves. Remember to wear suitable clothing and comfortable clothes, sandals are not advisable.

Workshops run 10a.m – 4p.m. with a break for lunch; bring a packed lunch or use the fabulous Wigeon café.

Tools and willow are provided but you may want to bring your own favourite tools as well.
