WWT Welney workshops
Clare: I loved doing your willow basket weaving workshop, it was informative and was lovely to see what everyone made, we all had the same materials but made something different. Thank you for your help with my log basket it sits perfectly alongside my wood burner.
Mel ‘So informative, creative and fun – thank you’
Caroline ‘Great family day, we all really learned together.’
Sue ‘The willow weaving course today was excellent. The tutor was very inspiring and helpful.
Sarah ‘It is rare to have the opportunity to learn an old craft from a skilled artist with experience, and who enjoys teaching. Well Done, Jane!’
Elaine ‘Myself and my sister had an entertaining and informative day at Jane’s willow weaving workshop. Neither of us had attempted this before. We were introduced to the basic skills before being supported in making our own baskets. The course was well resourced with a variety of willow and we both came away feeling we had learned a valuable new skill. The techniques taught could be used in a range of items and we were both inspired and very happy with the day.’

‘Thank you for a fantastic day learning to turn willow into baskets, garden sculptures, and in my case a cauliflower basket! Lots of fun with a great bunch of people, here’s to the next one!’
Lynn ‘Brilliant day, great instructor, fabulous lunch and new skill. Thanks highly recommended.’
Liz ‘I had a great time on your course and enjoyed making lots of different things with, as ever, your expert and friendly help and guidance. I have given my angel some hair made of ivy and put her in the garden. In this wind, she, the fairy and I are all having bad hair days, but we don’t mind!’
Ell ‘Jane is a very knowledgable and patient tutor. Excellent fun at the weaving workshop yesterday and quite proud of what I achieved! Will definitely be attending another workshop.’
